Forever After


I stared at your retreating figure
the burning tears that scorch my eyes
flowing down like an endless river


I walk after you in a trance
my feet getting cut by the million pieces of my shattered heart
your name engraved on each piece


I recall those years you said were wasted
every second of those memories
